Spanish Rap at Fiesta?!?

Today was our family's turn to viva la fiesta. We ofcourse went on the night that featured "Spanish Rap" for the "musical" entertainment. Do you think Abby enjoyed it? You'll just have to watch the video below. Thankfully, the evening was redeemed by meeting up with the Sieck's for dinner. Jeff's summary was, "If I knew Spanish and liked rap, I think I would have REALLY enjoyed that." Well put Jefe.

Clark Tour & Potty Wars '06

Clark is having a lovely time on it's first tour. Here's a recent pic Ange took at one of our shows! Being a part of the tour was a real treat for me. It was especially fun to play in San Francisco at The Make Out Room....a cool vibey place dedicated to good music. The Clark Tour continues up to the northwest so please check the website for more info.

I wish I could join up for the rest, but alas, the family needs me home. Abby is on the move and Angela is less and less on the move every day. It's exciting to think that we're only a couple months away from meeting Baby Brother, or "Magical Boy Pony", as Abby likes to call him. (No clue on that one). However, we now realize that I will need to step it up as Ange takes steps towards the couch. This was especially true today as Angela's back woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The few steps she took resembled a Granny's! Get all the info HERE AT ANGELA'S BLOG.

In other news, we have been at war lately. Not with Iraq. Not with Iran. Not even with Ipods. My new Video iPod , thanks to the generosity of a phenomenally kind parent from Elmo, is working like a charm! Who are we at war with!? None other than Abby!

It has been "Potty Wars '06" and she is more stubborn than Bin Laden and Saddam combined! If she's downed 3 milks, an OJ and a couple waters, we tend to think it's time to go. Not her. If it's our idea, she'd like to have NOTHING to do with the plan. She'll hit the jon when she is good and ready! A couple days ago I told Ange that we either need to fight harder to win or give up. Well, we of course fought harder. We're grown ups, right!?! Yes, there were owies on the bottom, loss of play time...all the heavy artilery! We won the battle that day, but alas, we've lost the war. After several hours of debate and hard fought battle, I was still losing and finally decided that it just wasn't worth it. Today, I've waved my white TP and surrendered to my more stubborn opponent.

Why? Well, she's a good kid. To be honest, an angel (almost all the time!). She also has a phenomenal track record. I think she's only wet her chonies 3 or 4 times. If she were in the Army, she'd be promotted to General or something! What was I thinking? I can't beat Captain Underpants! From now on, she can go to the potty whenever she feels it's go time. If she has tons of accidents, then I'll recalculate. But for now, what a relief (ahem, sorry) to be under the skilled leadership of Abby's bladder. Tommorrow will be a happy day and we won't spend 2 hours crying on the pot. phew.

Feel free to leave a comment....or shall I say a vote! Either vote "Good Move!" or "You loser!". I'm curious what you all think.

Brushing Your Own Teeth

Abby earned a new "big girl" tooth brush and is learning the delicate art form on her own....although she's still working on finding the molars, she's got "being cute" down pat. I'm sure she eventually learn to get back and swipe at those sneaky ones that go unseen.

Well, we're just a few days away from the Bay Area leg of the CLARK TOUR. It should be a fun adventure to spread our music to the other end of the state. Good news is, Abby & Angela are going to get to join us for most of the time. The other really great news is that we'll be staying with my family in San Jose! This is especially good for us because we'll get to see our cousins Gwen & Nolan again. Go see how cool they are RIGHT HERE.

So, if you happen to live in the Bay Area, I hope to see you at one of our shows! We're hoping to book another gig in San Jose on Tuesday so let me know if you're aware of a good place.....but here's the plan as of now:

Saturday, July 22--> LOMPOC, 4pm @ "Our Festival"

Sunday, July 23--> SOQUEL, 7pm @ "The Ugly Mug"

Monday, July 24--> available!

Tuesday, July 25--> SAN FRANCISCO, 9pm @ "The Make Out Room"

Wednesday, July 26--> SEBASTOPOL, 6:30pm @ "Ace in the Hole"

After that, I'm going home, but check the CLARK WEBSITE for more gigs! There will be another leg in August which will venture into the Northwest!

Hangin' with Clark

Abby got to go to a CLARK gig this week! We played a gig at Buffalo Records in Ventura at a decent hour so she got to come listen to the tunes! Of course, there was plenty of time to be goofy with "B" (aka Gabe) at dinner afterwards! She was quite attentive during the music and had a great time being a part of the "scene" in Ventura.

We're glad she's getting used to doin' the "groupie" thing. She'll be joining us for part of our "mini-tour" this summer! Click HERE to check out all the dates. We hope you'll find a CLARK show near you!

Abby has also been pretty busy herself this summer. See the latest pictures HERE. Last week, she had an awesome time at her first Bible Camp here in Carp. She loved it! She met new friends....got to hang out with old ones....and she even learned some verses and songs. It was a bit of a stretch for her to be out on her own every morning for 4 hours, but once she got over being a 'Confused Kitty', she adjusted well. There were a few tears at some of the drop-offs...although her teachers said she was fine once I left. When I went to pick her up on the last day she said, "Just a minute Daddy....I'm still playing!"

Abby's swimming continues to rock! She's up to about 15 feet of dog-paddling and sideways kicking on her own. "You go far, far away Daddy and I'll swim to you." Turn around. Repeat. Good Times.

Videos, Music, Good Times...

Summer is in full swing. I've have been busy...busy being a Dad, mostly. Angela is teaching summer school this year while I stay home every morning with the Abster. It's been a fun switcheroo....well, at least for me! Actually, we don't really stay home much. We've been pretty busy with our outings. Every day we take a ride on the bike, get Daddy some coffee, and then head to a playground. Although we miss time with Ange, it's pretty special to have this intentional one-on-one time together. (Abby in Hat picture by Gabe Friley)

What else has been going on? Well, I AM working too...but it's a nice change--doing music, in several capacities.

I'm still teaching guitar. Good Times Guitar Camp is alive and well every Tues, Wed, & Thurs. It has been especially exciting to add Elie Morgan to the Good Times Team. She is rocking the guitar!

Also, I've been working a bunch on recording jobs. I recorded a quick demo of some cool "European Cafe' Strolling Musicians" music. The BIG project I've undertaken this summer is recording a full album for my friend Dan Hislop. The 10 song LP of Adult Alternative tunes is coming together well. The drums were recorded this week with utility drum wizard, Erik Herzog. This guy could make The Wiggles groove! It was a blast to hang out with him and create some good sounds together. The goal is to have the album finished by the end of summer.

Lastly, CLARK is gigging and preparing for a short tour this summer. Here's a recent video from one of our shows....

It's a boy!

It's a boy!
Originally uploaded by andy white.
I put this sign up in my classroom window to announce that Abby's having a baby brother. Ange & I are so excited to have a son. It feels as if I am the world's most blessed man. To already have Abby, who is quite possibly the world's sweetest three-year-old, and now have the "other" kind of kid on the way....feels just too good to be true.

Baby Brother

So sometime around October 23 we'll all get to meet this little guy. Something tells us he likes the World Cup because he's been kicking Ange's tummy like crazy! I thought about giving him a red card but then realized an "ejection" might be confusing for the lad--just stay put for now dude!

Mr White & Class
So school is out. It's official. I'm really going to miss this great class that I had. Last week was quite a whirlwind of emotion. Two of the third graders from my class are moving to Texas. We sang a little parody song to send them off...you know, lots of goofy lyrics interspersed with lines like "we love you" and "we're sure gonna miss you in Texas." I had no idea that by the end of the song, I'd have 18 sobbing nine-year-olds on my hands. It turned out to be a very tender, healing time. If you're looking for a spiritual boost, I recommend hanging out with kids crying and praying for each other.

It could not have been an easier delivery. In fact, the first thing Roxanne said after giving birth was, "Wow, that was easy!" Rox opted in for the epidural this time around and Matt said, "Man, what a difference from last time!" Rox started pushing at 1:30 and Gwenyth arrived a mere six minutes later! Our entire family is so thankful for the blessing of this cute little bundle. Be sure to click RIGHT HERE on my FLIKR page to see all the photos of Gwenyth!

Last night was the school talent show. I always look forward to this, not only because there's so many fun acts, but especially because it's an opportunity for my guitar students to showcase their hard work. Well, this year was no exception. It always amazes me how well they do in front of a large crowd! It certainly is fulfilling for me to see how far each student has come...this keeps me going for another year. There's nothing that quite compares to seeing a child's face light up after their performance! You can see their satisfaction, knowing that they put in soooo much hard work, and it paid off! Sharing the gift of music is a one of life's most important treasures. It's a privilege for me to be a part of it.

Seriously...Goofing Off

Silly Faces #1
Originally uploaded by andy white.
Sometimes Abby and I just love to be super silly. Here's a recent sample. There's some more examples RIGHT HERE on my FLIKR page. She is really great at playing and good fun lately. One of her favorite games right now is hide-n-seek. I'm trying to teach her to not always hide in the same place or pick the spot that I JUST hid in. I'm not sure were getting anywhere, but she loves it so that's all that matters.

In a couple weeks, I'll be heading to Sea World with my 3rd graders. Good news is, Ange and Abby get to go down with us this year! We can't wait to take Abby on the train! There's no doubt that the choo-choo has long been one of her favorite things in the entire world. Lately, she's been suggesting that a train ride be one of her rewards for cooperation. "Hmmm, good idea Abby. Maybe some day." If she only knew!

Music stuff continues to go well. SBCC album has almost sold out of all 500 copies! Wow! Didn't see that coming but it's satisfying to know that all the hard work that went into the production is actually getting plugged into people's ears. Also, CLARK has a gig this Friday at Legends this Friday night. Hope to see you there for some good music and good times.

Lastly, I just want to wish a Happy Mommy's Day to all the great moms out there. You all amaze me...I have been loved beyond measure by my own Mom and I see her amazing legacy being passed along now when I observe my wife and my sister tirelessly give of themselves the way my own mom always has and continues to do. Thank you wonderful moms in my life. You bless me. :)

We're Back from San Jose

Goofball Cousins
Originally uploaded by andy white.
We just got home from a fun Spring Break trip to San Jose! I posted new pictures from the trip RIGHT HERE. It's late and there was tons of highlights, so I'll try to just jot down a few here:

--> We celebrated Angela's 35th birthday with lots of food, gifts and fun! She's the proud owner of new outer and under garmets, and the Apple Airport Express

--> Abby & Nolan had tons of fun cousin play time together.

--> We had a great visit with Abby & Nolan's "Great Grandma Bridge" who was up from Hemet, CA.

--> I enjoyed some great backyard fun with Matt and my Dad. While the kids played outside for what seemed like an eternity, we wisely took advantage of the outdoor time...we played mini-ball HORSE, drank some Fat Tire and BBQ-ed some steaks.

--> My birthday was extended from 2 weeks ago with some sweet gifts! (new stylin' clothes and some music gear moola...thanks guys!!)

There was so much more so I'll just wrap up by saying we love our family and the good times together!

One last note...check out a recent Clark review HERE.

Abby Loves to Sing

Abby Sings

It's official...Abby is a full blown recording artist. She stepped up to the mic and delivered the goods. Ok, so she doesn't exactly have a tour lined up or any major label interest yet, but she sure loves to belt it!

I've been waiting for her to say, "I wanna sing in the microphone Daddy." Well, today, my wish came true. Sure, it was nap time, but we postponed it for a quick recording sesh...I mean, with me on Spring Break and all (oh yes,!), it was a perfect time.

Well, you can download her 6 minute medley HERE.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Boat Snugglin'
Originally uploaded by andy white.
So Saturday was my birthday...my best present is seen here in this picture! It's hard to beat good times with Abby for a present. If you wanna see more cute pix of Abby, your time has come! Just CLICK HERE and you'll be whisked away to Cutetropolis.

For about a 10-day stretch, we had BIG TIME trouble with Abby obeying...especially at bed time. Unfortunately for my darling wife, I was in Vegas for three of those days. (Love you!) But we've divised a new system. It adds up to this: 1 spanking + TONS of love, encouragement and INCENTIVES! For the last 5-6 days, it's working! We're pumped, because it was starting to get crazy! At the climax, Abby jumped out of bed 30x and rammed her head against her door so much that we had to remove her door handle.

Well, we're happy to report that her door handle is back on and she's voluntarily cooperating. True, she doesn't EVER want another "ow-ie on her bottom" and she loves that she can now earn sweet stuff by getting 10 precious points on her little white board. Once she reaches ten, she gets a fun "outting" such as a boat ride on "Little Toots" or a trip to the Merry-Go-Round or Baskin Robbins. We're amazed that somehow, by God's grace, it's working.

We're thankful. Abby has always been super sweet and a really easy kid. The sweet part never went away...but the easy part was starting to get to be hard to remember. We're back to pretty much a cake walk with pure cane sugar now though. phew....

In addition to new ABBY PHOTOS, I've posted some new scenic photos HERE .

Vegas Baby, Vegas!

A strong chin...
Originally uploaded by Bet on Red.
I'm back! Back from a great trip to Vegas to celebrate my buddy Brad, back from a nasty flu virus, and back to reality! It feels swell to be back...let me explain.

My faithful friend of fourteen years, Brad Lounsberry, is getting married this June. Brad and I went to Westmont College together and found ourselves living in the same room or suite most of the time. I knew then, that he was the type of quality person that I would want to be friends with for the rest of my life. Thankfully, I know this will always be true. Sadly, we only get some serious hang time once or twice a year. The amazing thing is how we're always able to pick up where we left off. Even more phenomenal is how I have become a close friend to many of his friends who live in various parts of the country.

I'm thankful. In fact, we were all SO thankful for Brad this weekend, that we decided to truly share our affection for him by providing him with some "unique" outfits to wear in four of Vegas' finest casinos. Our hope was that instead of just a dozen bro's adoring Brad, thousands of casino dwellers would cast their gaze in his direction. Well, news flash...IT WORKED! I took the liberty of documenting the occasion. However, I must warn you, unless you appreciate men's European swimwear (Speedo's), this photo show might not be for you. However, if laughing at a dude in crazy, public humiliation (all done in the name of Christ's love of course!), then this might be for you! Click HERE.

Yes, sadly, I did come back from my trip for one measely day of work and then proceed to toss my cookies. Serious 180 from PURE FUN to NO FUN. Oh well, the good news is, I did finish the mixing and mastering of the SBCC album before I started blowing chow. So, it looks like the album will out by mid-April now. After about 9 months in the making, I am relieved and excited. Thanks to everyone out there for contributing to the compilation. The songs sound great!

How's Abby? Cute as ever. She's been a little combatitive with bed times but I think we're making headway. We've found that "special outings" can be highly motivating! :) More news and Abby pix to come soon...and she'll probably be found in skirts only. She refuses pants these days.

A big part of his results have to do with his patient, gentle way with kids. Abby was so comfortable and relaxed throughout the shoot. You can check out a slideshow of these beautiful, candid pix by CLICKING HERE.

In addition to the photos, we captured a hilarious video today. You might wanna bookmark this movie for whenever you need a laugh. Abby has really been into "The Horsey Song" (aka William Tell Overture). Well, today she requested it, while in her underwear! Abby hosts V-Day Party!

Cute Girls
Originally uploaded by andy white.
I’ve got some new pictures up HERE. Abby had all her 2-year-old buddies over for a Valentine's Day party on Tuesday. It was pure good times. Angela had the condo decked out with hearts and streamers, etc. The cupid-crew was decked out in their favorite red and pink attire as they crafted valentines for their friends, sang love songs on the lawn and pounded cup cakes in the name of love.

Although I missed the party because I was at work, I did try to join the holiday fun. I brought home a small potted plant for Angela. As I walked in the door with the gift in tote, Abby ran up to me and yelled, "Oh wow Daddy, you brought me a present!" I locked eye contact with my trusty parental partner...she KNEW the gift was for her, but graciously gave me the nod to pass it on to our adoring 2 year old. Abby proceeded to adoringly sniff the plant and smoother me with hugs and kisses. I instantly became a ginormous fan of the holiday. Thanks Angela...what a great woman, eh?

Speaking of Angela ruling...check out all these ridiculously cute pictures she gave me for Valentine's Day by clicking HERE.

Abby's First Theater Experience

Hi George!
Originally uploaded by andy white.
I can think of so many of life's firsts. My first Coke. My first day of school. My first 2 wheeler. My first soccer trophy. My first crush. My first slumber party. My first trip on a plane. My first car. My first date. My first day of college. My first (and only) wedding. My first child. So many eye-opening moments. On paper, they're nothing more than every day experiences. But when you are living them for the first time, it's almost as if time stops and you realize that your view on the world is different now. You have the knowledge that this new thing is cool...really cool.

Today was one of those days for Abby. Sure, we talked it up big because like all good parents, we manipulate and bribe in order to get a desired response. Well, needless to say, Abby agreeably jumped through our "cooperation hoops" and earned her precious cinematic initiation. In short, she loved it. Massive vibrant colors…glowing animation…altogether a mesmerizing experience. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that her entire room is decked out in "curious" decor, and she has about 27 stuffed George’s.

The movie was great…Will Ferrell was hilarious as the “Man with the Yellow Hat” and Jack Johnson’s soundtrack was refreshing. However, I must confess, I spent much of the movie watching Abby, not George! I couldn’t help it. She was giggling and grinning throughout the flick. It was a joy to see my little girl having the time of her life. Seeing her happy has become one of my favorite passions. Click HERE to see some photos from the film day. Abby’s first theater day. My first day taking her to the theater. We’ll be back.

Beach Playground in Winter!

Beach Playground
Originally uploaded by andy white.
We live in a great place. Our daughter can visit a beach playground in January and not freeze her patooty off. Trust me, this is a good thing. You don't really wanna be caught dead or alive without your patooty! Anywho, there are more pictures from Abby's happening playgroup RIGHT HERE .

As I look at this picture, I realize that Abby is getting old. Seriously, I think she is growing up at some sort of record speed. It's crazy! In case you're wondering, I think she looks gorgeous in this shot. Ok, you probably already knew I thought that, but it's good to be clear, ya know!?

So the Steelers versus the Seahawks this weekend, eh? Who's watching the Super Bowl? (Post some comments down below folks!) I for one must admit, I've trailed off in my football interest ever since my Niners went South a couple decades ago. Those guys really put the UCK in SUCK these days. I can't even stand to watch. But hey, I'll be tuning in this weekend to hopefully catch a good game, or at least some good laughs with the commercials! If you must know, in honor of my buddy Matt Steele, I'm pulling for the Steelers! Go black and yellow! (Sorry Dad...I know you've been waiting for your Seahawks to make a Super Bowl appearence for eons...)

Well, take good care everyone...and don't forget to post a comment for everyone's pleasure reading.

In other news, Clark (my acoustic-ish, rainy day music band) was on the air Saturday. We were on WNYU in New York. Our song, "Lost", from the "Here Comes Tomorrow" album, was on a morning show called Pop Anonymous. We have met a promoter through MySpace that really believes in the album and is pushing it everywhere that he can...for free. So we very much appreciate the extra plugs. Stay tuned to your local radio...you just might hear Clark!

In addition to playing with Clark, I'm also dying to get back to my full band, Widescreen Reason. My buddy, Matt Steele, who drums in the band, has been fighting brain cancer. He's had a rough couple weeks, so I appreciate your prayers of healing for him. I know he'd love to be done with radiation and get back to fun things like jamming with the band. Get better soon Matt!

KCPR Radio hosts Clark Live!

Here's a fun pic from Clark's KCPR radio gig yesterday!

We played for about 45 minutes on the air yesterday. Thanks to everyone who tuned in via their radio or their internet connection! The radio show helped boost our CD sales for Silent Film Records. It was fun to play in a quiet room and imagine the 10's of thousands of listeners enjoying the tunes...or maybe just 10! Anyhow, it was a fun time for all and we even got to grab dinner with my parents after the show! Don't worry, if you missed the show, we should hopefully be receiving a recording soon. Ofcourse, you could always order your own copy of the Clark album here.

In other news, Abby is now sleeping in a "Big Girl Bed"...can you believe that? So long crib...on to the Toddler bed! It's pretty cute how excited she is about it. It's actually kind of nice to not have a jail cell between you and your cute kid. it's much easier to sneak back in for one more good night kiss this way (which I'm a pretty big fan of...) I'll try to post a picture of Abby in her new bed this week.

til we meet again...have a great week...

2006 Rocks!

Mouth English

I hope you've had a great year so far. If you haven't, take heart, it's only the second day!

While it's sad that my vacation time is almost past, I must be thankful for all the relaxing family time I logged. A big holiday highlight for me was spending a week in San Jose with my family. I've added some new pix from the holidays here.

My three-year-old nephew, Nolan, was a blast to play with! He's passionate about his mix CD's and rocking his drums. While I was crusing the San Jose music stores, I grabbed him some "Cool Rods" to jam with. This picture shows him throwing down a sweet groove at "Bamboola", an indoor playground of sorts.

Christmas with Abby this year was highly entertaining...to say the least. She really became passionate about every aspect of the birthday celebration. Presents, trees, cookies, Jesus, songs, candles, anticipation, Mary, ornaments, movie specials, Joseph, wisemen, angels, lights, ok, basically everything! She loved it all. I didn't expect to see such enthrallment. She made the excitement come alive for me like never before. Be sure to check out the latest pictures here.

Official 2005 "White Christmas" Letter

It’s funny how Christmas joy comes full circle when you live vicariously through the eyes of a little one. Abby is passionately enthusiastic about Mary, “Joes-feth”, and Baby Jesus. She wants to read about the shepherds and the wise men every night. There’s one unfortunate wise man that she’s decided not to like. Sorry buddy. She must have her reasons why. Other than that, she loves every iota about Christmas. Abby can hardly wait to unravel each shiny package for her and Baby Jesus. We are gripped by the mystery of the Holy day with a refreshed, child-like perspective.

It has been an eventful year:
• Abby received a shiny ribbon for a year of astonishing gymnastics!
• Angela directed a mesmerizing Christmas program for El Montecito School .
• Andy recorded 2 CD’s for 2 new bands: Widescreen Reason and Clark .
• Abby wears big girl underwear and routinely poops in the potty.
• Angela is a multi-talented music and Spanish teacher every Monday.
• Good Times Guitar and Studio is keeping Andy busy with 22 students.
• Abby phenomenally touches us with her sweet, gentle spirit.
• Angela organized a remarkable “happy” for Abby’s 2nd birthday party.
• Andy moved to another campus and continues to teach third grade with his best bud and music comrade, Gabe "Clark" Friley .
• Abby loves to sing and it’s super cute. What a sample? Click here!
• Angela had her gall bladder removed and gets to enjoy Hamburger Habit again!
• We gave thanks for Grandpa Dick’s ninety wonderful years on earth before retiring to a better place.
• A restful, weeklong camp trip with our dear friends, the Steele's, McCarter's and Knoles'.
• Uncle Lawrence’s 65th birthday in the midst of a Florida Family reunion.
• Thanksgiving rendezvous with Andy’s family in Templeton to give thanks for our many blessings and Angela’s first delicious turkey.

As we all know, life presents challenges interwoven within the joys. In June, we lost a child due to a non-viable pregnancy. To complicate matters, it took six months and two D and C's for her body to finally stop acting pregnant. The doctors were perplexed and we became quite concerned about Angela's health. Although it was an incredibly trying season, we are thankful to report that Angela is 100% healthy now. We praise God for his healing touch and the impact that Angela's faith had on her doctors. In addition, we'd like to say thanks to all of you who supported us through this bizarre episode.

It’s come to our attention that we are likely one of the most blessed families on either side of the Mississippi. This is largely attributed to you…our loving, fun-filled, gifted, endearing family and friends. Each of you is prized in our hearts.

If you want to stay current, book mark this page and come on back throughout the year. All the best in 2006….

Love,
AAA

Clark gig at Spaceland

Clark gig at Club Spaceland
Originally uploaded by andy white.
here's a fun foto from the Clark gig at Spaceland in L.A. last Sunday. This was only the second show for our mellow, 3-piece musical project. We felt great about the well attended show. We were told that both indie and major record label folks were amongst the crowd. I can't say if that really was true, but i did spot Kiefer Sutherland in the crowd. Apparently, he has a record label called Iron Works Music going and the band that played before us, Rocco DeLuca, is one of his fortunate sons.

besides all that freaky celeb stuff, it was fun to play a show with friends, sell some Clark CD's, and use some drink tickets.
just two more days of reminding abby that we're just "looking" at presents, not touching them!

Abby & Daddy

Abby & Daddy
Originally uploaded by andy white.

Merry Christmas from the White's!

So, turns out I'm not addicted to going to work every day...oh wait, I never was. Anyway, it has been really fun to focus on being a Dad this week. Abby and I have been all about the good times this week. We're not afraid to get out loads of toys or continually recheck the couches...ya know, just to make sure they're still soft. Today, we got ambitious! We hopped on the bike and didn't stop until we hit ocean. OK, that only equals about a 1/2 mile. So, we flipped a U-ey and headed to the friendly neighborhood playground. Ofcourse, we've been doing our part to be good Americans this week...hitting the shops til we drop. Yesterday, i spent most of my time at the mall trying to find some place that sold some form of smoothies. Abby must have politely requested a "Smoothie please" at least 777 times. In the end, we had to settle for Buckstar...they actually sell some sort of non-coffee frap that sure seemed a lot like a strawberry milkshake to me. well, we we're thankful, because one of the giftcards in my wallet saved the day!

Three more days until we get to put our fake plastic Baby Jesus in our "Made in China" manger. Abby and I can hardly wait...I am a blessed man.
